JAMMU, DECEMBER 17: In a landmark move addressing the long-standing demand of the residents of Tehsil Kharah Balli in the Chhamb area, the Jammu and Kashmir Road Transport Corporation (JKRTC), on the instructions of the Minister for Transport Satish Sharma, today started a direct bus service connecting Baba Mei Mal Dev Sthan Dager to Jewel Chowk, Jammu.

The initiative comes as a result of representations made by the people of this remote area, highlighting the lack of adequate transport facilities.

Taking swift action, Satish Sharma directed the transport department to ensure the immediate commencement of the bus service, recognizing the critical need for improved connectivity in the region.

Residents of Tehsil Kharah Balli have wholeheartedly welcomed this move, expressing their gratitude to the Minister for his proactive and people-centric approach.

Local residents gathered during the flag-off ceremony and hailed the Minister’s efforts in fulfilling a long-pending demand.

The introduction of this bus service is expected to bring a range of benefits to the area, including better access to education, healthcare, and markets, thereby boosting the overall development of the region.

The connectivity will also help enhance the local economy by facilitating the movement of goods and services between rural and urban areas.

The people of Tehsil Kharah Balli have expressed their hope that more such initiatives will follow, further improving their quality of life. With this step, the Transport Department continues to align its services with the aspirations of the people, delivering impactful solutions promptly.
