AYUSH Department celebrates 10th Ayurveda Day-the Dhanwantari Jayanti at Ramban

RAMBAN, OCTOBER 18: The Department of AYUSH Ramban under the guidance of Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Alyas Khan, celebrated the 10th Ayurveda Day, which coincides with Dhanwantari Jayanti, engaging the community in honoring India’s ancient health system.

The event observed on Dhanteras, paid tribute to Lord Dhanwantari, the deity of Ayurveda and highlighted the significance of traditional health practices.

Chief Planning Officer Dr. Shakeeb Ahmed Rather was the chief guest on the occasion. The programme was attended by the officers, officials and locals.

In his address, CPO emphasized Ayurveda’s essential role in modern healthcare, encouraging the community to integrate Ayurvedic principles into their daily lives for holistic well-being and disease prevention.

The celebration included enriching lectures by Doctors; Ayush Health Workers, emphasizing Ayurveda’s benefits for boosting immunity and managing lifestyle diseases.

District Yoga Coordinator and Senior AYUSH Officer Dr. Masood Iqbal Zarger expressed appreciation for the community’s participation and reiterated AYUSH’s commitment to promoting Ayurveda.

Dr Masood Zarger concluded the event with a vote of thanks, underscoring this celebration as part of a national movement to revive Ayurveda as a sustainable healthcare approach.
