KISHTWAR, FEBRUARY 15: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Rajesh Kumar Shavan today launched a Massive Plantation Drive here at Village Kuriya.
The initiative aims to achieve 100% plantation under the Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP).
During the visit, the DC announced to develop Village Kuriya as a Model Village. He further emphasized the importance of making the village 100% Nasha Mukt (Drug-Free) and pledged unwavering support for sustainable agricultural and horticultural advancements under HADP.
He also encouraged women and young girls to avail economic empowerment schemes such as mushroom farming, establishment of self employment ventures.
Addressing the gathering, he highlighted the awareness initiatives regarding three newly introduced laws that will soon be discussed in the Panchayat, urging residents to understand their benefits.
Later, Assistant Commissioner Development (ACD) Kishtwar, Phulail Singh, provided detailed insights into various RDD schemes, urging villagers to take full advantage of them.
Other dignitaries present during the visit included Chief Horticulture Officer (CHO) Kishtwar, Sajid Mustafa, along with several other district officers and officials.
