Srinagar: Militants fired upon paramilitary forces guarding a minority village in south Kashmir’s Shopian district but there was casualty, officials said here.
A police officer told GNS the militants fired from a distance upon the minority guards at Heerpora area of the district. The fire retaliated and militants fled, he said.
In this incident there was no loss of life or injury reported. Meanwhile whole area was immediately cordoned off to nab militants. However when this report was filed late in the evening no arrested culminated. (GNS)
