RAMBAN, JULY 17: To resolve the concerns of the people at their doorsteps, Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Alyas Khan, along with a team of officers, convened a public outreach programme at tehsil Rajgarh. The event was aimed to directly engage with the public, listen to their grievances and to ensure time-bound redressal of the same.

Locals raised several key issues seeking improvement of power supply scenario, timely installation of transformers and posting of sanctioned strength of doctors and paramedical staff at PHC Rajgarh. They further demanded provision of an ambulance and dental chair in the hospital to improve healthcare services.

The Beopar Mandal of Rajgarh demanded a vehicle for lifting solid waste to improve sanitation in the locality. People also expressed concern over the slow progress of work and alignment of road projects, especially the Rajgarh–Shushetra road.

Responding to the demand, the DC directed Executive Engineer PMGSY to expedite the construction work to complete it without further delay.

The locals also demanded bringing Bibroto, Chakka Bartund, Chakka-A and Chakka-B Panchayats falling in Block Assar (Doda), under the administrative control of Tehsil Rajgarh (Ramban) for public convenience. The DC assured to take up the matter with the higher authorities.

Responding to other demands, the Deputy Commissioner directed the stakeholder departments to take immediate steps to resolve the genuine issues at the earliest. He assured the people of responsive and accountable governance.

Later, the DC inspected the functioning of PHC Rajgarh and directed the CMO to ensure punctuality and attendance of medical staff. He also instructed the Tehsildar to conduct inspection of the health facility on regular intervals.
