REASI, JULY 21: The District Administration Reasi has finalized the arrangements for the upcoming Shri Budha Amarnathji Yatra 2025. A meeting was held under the chairmanship of Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Sukhdev Singh Samyal to review preparations and ensure the smooth and secure conduct of the annual pilgrimage.

During the meeting, the ADDC held detailed discussions with officials from line departments on key aspects such as drinking water, uninterrupted power supply, medical facilities, and sanitation.

It was informed that the first batch of pilgrims is scheduled to arrive at Bhambla on July 30, where they will halt at Shiv Shakti Ashram. In this context, the ADDC directed the Public Health Engineering (PHE) and Power Development Department (PDD) to ensure adequate water and electricity supply at both the Shiv Shakti Ashram and the langar site.

The Block Medical Officer (BMO) was instructed to deploy sufficient medical staff, along with essential medicines and ambulances, at the Ashram to address the health needs of the pilgrims. The ADDC also directed the concerned authorities to install mobile toilets at identified locations, based on the requirements.

Furthermore, he asked the Tehsildar Pouni and BDO Pouni to conduct a joint inspection of the designated sites to ensure that all facilities are in place. The Public Works Department (PWD) was instructed to keep standby machinery ready to handle any exigencies, particularly in the event of natural disasters or road blockages.

The ADDC emphasized the need for coordinated efforts among all departments to provide a safe, hygienic, and comfortable experience to the devotees undertaking the sacred Yatra.

ACR Nitin Verma, ACD Vijay Kumar, CMO, Dy. SP HQ, EO MC Reasi, Tehsildar Pouni, and representatives from Shri Budha Amarnathji Yatra Committee were also present at the meeting.
