GDC Ramkote winds up Sewa Parv activities

KATHUA, SEPTEMBER 30: To conclude Sewa Parv celebrations which commenced from 17th September 2025, a valedictory ceremony was organized by the Government Degree College Ramkote, today.

The event started with a warm welcome address by Prof. Suresh Chander, Convener Cultural Committee followed by paying floral tributes to the Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi by the College Principal, faculty and students.

The participants were briefed about the activities including Cleanliness drives, Slogan writing, Poster-making/Painting competition, Declamation, Quiz, Sanitation drives etc. organized under the Sewa Parv Celebrations 2025.

The Principal of the college highlighted the significance of Gandhi Jayanti and encouraged the students to inculcate the ideals of truth, non-violence and satyagraha in their life to become good citizens of India, ultimately leading to achieve the target of Viksit Bharat 2047.

The event was followed by a Slogan Writing Competition on the theme – Truth and Non-Violence. Students from B.A. Semester 5th, 3rd and 1st enthusiastically participated in the competition.

Sulekha Devi (B.A. Sem. 5th) secured the first position, Neha Devi (B.A. Sem. 3rd) stood second while the third position was shared by Nitakshi (BA Sem. 3rd) and Tanu Devi (B.A. Sem. 1st)

The event concluded with a final vote of thanks by Prof. Pankaj Nandan, Convenor IQAC. Faculty present included Prof. Anu Sharma, Prof. Vasundra Raje, Krishan Singh and Ankush Kundral.
