DODA, OCTOBER 2: The Municipal Council Doda on Thursday organized a certificate presentation programme to honor the dedicated services of Safaimitras during the ongoing Sewa Parv 2025 celebrations. The programme held from September 17 to October 2, highlighted the tireless efforts of sanitation workers who have been the backbone of maintaining cleanliness, dignity and hygiene across the town. By awarding certificates of appreciation, the Council expressed gratitude to the Safaimitras for their vital role in upholding the spirit of the Swachh Bharat Mission and contributing towards a cleaner and healthier environment for the community.
In addition to the recognition ceremony, a Plantation and Cleaning Drive was organized on October 2 in the rural areas of Doda under the banner of Sewa Parv 2025. The event, coordinated by the Range Office Marmat under the guidance of the Worthy DFO Batote, saw the active participation of government employees, PRI representatives and local residents. During the drive, five saplings were planted and an equal number distributed among the locals to promote environmental protection and community participation. The cleaning programme conducted alongside emphasized the importance of collective responsibility in keeping public spaces clean and green.
The celebration of Sewa Parv 2025 was not limited to one department but was observed across Doda district with enthusiasm and dedication. Multiple departments, schools and local bodies conducted awareness drives, plantation programmes, cleanliness campaigns and cultural activities to spread the message of service, sustainability and inclusive governance. From government offices to rural hamlets, the spirit of Sewa Parv echoed throughout the district, reflecting people’s commitment towards social responsibility and nation-building.
The week-long celebration served as a reminder of the values of community service, cleanliness and environmental conservation.
