JAMMU, OCTOBER 23: Election Observers for Bye- Election to AC-77 Nagrota today visited a number of polling stations to assess the arrangements made for the convenience of the Voters.
The team consisting of General Observer Kunal Silku; Police Observer Avinash Kumar and Expenditure Observer Ashish Yadav inspected polling stations at Nagrota, Panjgrain, Khanpur and Rathoredhok.
During the visit, the Observers interacted with the locals and issued on-the-spot instructions to the concerned ARO, police and other officials to ensure foolproof arrangements at all polling stations, including adequate lighting and drinking water facilities.
The team emphasised generating awareness among the voters regarding the polling process, functioning of grievance redressal mechanism and the importance of maximum voter participation in a well-organised and peaceful atmosphere.
