DODA, NOVEMBER 18: Deputy Commissioner Doda, Harvinder Singh today chaired a comprehensive review meeting in the VC Room to assess the progress of the under-construction 132 KV Khellani–Changa Transmission Line and Grid Sub-Station Changa (Bhaderwah).

The meeting was attended by ACR Ashraf Pervez; CPO Manesh Kumar Manhas, functionaries from JKPTCL, JPDCL, PGCIL, the Revenue Department and the Army, who attended both in person and virtually.

The DC reviewed the current status of tower erection, stringing activities, forest clearance, land acquisition and the availability of materials. He stressed on removing the pending bottlenecks, including Right of Way (ROW) issues, to avoid delays. The DC sought feedback from concerned SDMs on the status of the work and directed them to ensure close departmental coordination for timely execution of the project.

The JPDCL was asked to submit a consolidated progress report and share updated project details with all concerned departments before the next review. He urged all stakeholders to initiate and accelerate execution of works to prevent power disruptions amid winter season. The DC emphasised that uninterrupted power supply to the region depends on the timely completion of this vital project.

The DC directed the JPDCL to take all necessary measures to maintain smooth and reliable power supply during winters. The meeting concluded with clear directions for weekly monitoring, field verification and proactive issue resolution to ensure steady progress and timely completion of the 132 KV Khellani–Changa Transmission Project.
