DODA, NOVEMBER 21: Rashtriya Poshan Maah 2025 was observed in Thathri with an awareness programme, promoting nutrition, health care and early childhood development.

The event was inaugurated by District Programme Officer, Akhter Hussain Qazi in the presence of Tehsildar Satish Rana, health officials and Poshan Project staff.

Anganwadi workers, women, children and local residents actively participated in cultural performances and theme-based activities highlighting balanced diets, hygiene and child growth-monitoring.

Addressing the gathering, the District Programme Officer explained the objectives of the Poshan scheme. He said the main focus of the scheme is on improving nutrition for pregnant women, lactating mothers, adolescent girls and children through supplementary nutrition. He said health check-up, counselling and awareness drives are also envisaged under the scheme. “Early childhood care, immunisation and healthy lifestyles are a key to combat malnutrition,” he added.

The programme also featured nutrition demonstrations, anaemia awareness talks, IEC material distribution and interactive sessions with mothers groups. The event concluded with an appeal to stakeholders to support Poshan Abhiyan in building a healthier, well-nourished community.
