DC Kupwara felicitates stakeholders for showcasing products & services in Akankasha Haat

KUPWARA, NOVEMBER 28: On the instructions of NITI Aayog, the District Administration Kupwara today organized a felicitation ceremony at the D.C Office here to honor and acknowledge various stakeholders who showcased their products and services during the Akanksha Haat held in August this year.

The event was presided over by Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, Shrikant Suse, who commended the participants for their enthusiastic involvement and for highlighting the district’s diverse entrepreneurial and cultural potential at the national-level platform.

Speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner emphasized the importance of such initiatives in promoting local talent, strengthening community-based enterprise, and encouraging innovation among artisans, self-help groups, and young entrepreneurs. He noted that Akanksha Haat has provided a significant opportunity for local stakeholders to exhibit their skills, share ideas, and connect with wider markets.

Certificates of appreciation and momentos were distributed among participants representing various sectors, including handicrafts, handloom, agriculture and allied activities, local startups, and service-based enterprises. Around 37 FPOs, SHGs and Entrepreneurs were felicitated for showcasing-the unique products and Arts.

The awardees expressed gratitude to NITI Aayog and the District Administration for providing a meaningful platform to showcase their capabilities and for recognizing their efforts.

Important to mention that about Rs.6.50 Lakh turnover was achieved during the week long Aakansha Haat program organised by District Administration Kupwara at Regipora Kupwara.
