BANDIPORA, DECEMBER 04: Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA), Sonawari, Hilal Akbar Lone today laid the foundation stone for the new building of the SDM Office Sumbal, a major step towards strengthening the administrative infrastructure of the area.
The foundation-laying ceremony was attended by SDM Sumbal, Murtaza Ahmad Sheikh; Tehsildar Sumbal, Syed shabbar; Executive Engineer R&B Sumbal, Tanveer Ahmad Mattu along with other officials and local residents.
While addressing the gathering, the MLA appreciated the hard work and dedicated efforts of SDM Sumbal, Executive Engineer R&B Sumbal acknowledging his role in pursuing and securing approval for the new office building. He said that such commitment from the local administration greatly contributes to public welfare and effective governance.
Officials from the R&B Department briefed the dignitaries about the project design, timeline, and proposed facilities.
The new building is expected to improve service delivery and provide a better working environment for both staff and the public.
