Off late, the big names in Bollywood have been coming out and trying to do things out of the box and one such case is that of Bollywood superstar and director, Ajay Devgan. He has not only performed exceptionally on the big screen but has been lately doing amazing work after getting on to the chair of a director. He is no doubt an actor, but as he has rightly said that he is a rule-breaker and believes in striving for novelty in his cinema.
With the start of being a versatile actor, Ajay gave scores of movies that not only turned out super hits but also projected major issues and biases prevalent in society. He was always seen acting intensely with more focus on the action and thrill. Even though the majority of his movies were emotive, he in the latter part of his career acted in a few comedy movies as well which quite increased his fan base. Then what came to the fore was that he shifted his focus towards direction and production and was hardly seen acting which the 53-year-old actor had a passion for. However, this time around, a movie named ‘Runway 34’ is set to hit the screens by April end probably ahead of Eid and has got a blend of Ajay being an actor as well as the director. The movie is an aviation thriller and also marks Ajay’s return to the director’s chair after 6 years
Ajay is reported to have said that two years ago soon after the pandemic struck and everything was pacing down all of a sudden, writers, Sandeep Kewlani and Aamil Keeyan Khan narrated the script of ‘Runway 34’ to him which he liked and wanted some changes before he could go ahead further. The same was done to a great extent—the writers had brought in the excitement and the drama—prompting Ajay to decide to declare the film his third directorial.
The ‘Runway 34’ also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Rakul Preet Singh and Boman Irani in pivotal roles even as the Big-B has termed the movie as a major reunion. However, what remains to be cherished is the splendid artwork of the multi-talented Ajay Devgan. The audience is not only eager to watch the movie set to hit the screen in the next few weeks but is also excited to see Ajay in the lead role too after quite a long time. Quite hopefully, the movie is set to be a grand success and might uncover a different side of the film industry. People believe Ajay and that should not leave them disappointed.
