Director Agriculture Jammu reviews progress under departmental schemes

JAMMU, DECEMBER 12: A comprehensive review meeting was today held under the chairmanship of Director Agriculture Jammu, Anil Gupta to evaluate the physical and financial progress achieved under Centrally Sponsored Schemes, HADP, CAPEX Plan and NABARD.

The meeting was attended by Joint Director (SLUB/Farms), Aman Jyoti Sharma; Deputy Director Planning, Yaqoob Zargar; CAO, Manohar Lal Sharma; DAO Vinod Khajuria; Technical Officer HADP (DoAJ), Raj Kumar besides other officers and staff of the Directorate. The Chief Agriculture Officers (CAOs) also participated through video conference.

The Director Agriculture directed the concerned officers to submit the latest and updated Monthly Progress Reports (MPRs) to the Directorate at the earliest. He instructed the CAOs to expedite ongoing works under Per Drop More Crop (PDMC), ensuring timely completion of the same. He also emphasized prompt submission of Utilization Certificates (UCs) and called for timely achievement of MIDH targets. “All scheme-related targets must be completed by December 31, 2025, without any lapses. The NABARD works shall be completed on priority with focus on coordination among all stakeholders,” the Director emphasized.

Reviewing the implementation of Prime Minister’s Fasal Bima Yojana (PMFBY), the Director Agriculture instructed the CAOs to accelerate registration of farmers for Rabi season 2025–26. He highlighted the importance of coordinated efforts between field functionaries and insurance companies to achieve coverage of the maximum number of eligible farmers.
