POONCH, DECEMBER 22: In continuation to the “Prashasan Gaon Ki Ore” campaign, District Administration Poonch hosted extensive public outreach, awareness activities and field-level engagement on the fourth day of Good Governance Week.
A series of programmes were organized across Balakote, Lassana, Bufliaz, Loran, Mankote, Mendhar, NSSB, Sathra and Poonch, with the objective of strengthening grassroots governance and improving service delivery.
Block Development Officers (BDOs), Tehsildars and officers from Agriculture, District Industries Centre, Horticulture, Social Welfare, Banking sector and other line departments conducted field visits and held public interaction and grievances redressal camps in their respective jurisdictions.
The Agriculture and Horticulture Departments generated public awareness regarding the departmental schemes and presented appreciation certificates to progressive farmers in recognition of their contributions. Citizens raised issues related to developmental works, civic amenities and delivery of public services. Officers from line departments, BDOs, ABP Fellows and other officials patiently listened to public grievances, registered genuine cases and provided on-the-spot redressal wherever feasible.
Cleanliness drives were also held at multiple locations to promote hygiene and community participation. The initiatives undertaken on Day 4 of Good Governance Week reflect the district administration’s commitment towards responsive governance, transparency and enhanced citizen participation, reaffirming its resolve to take governance closer to the people of District Poonch.
