DC, SSP assess progress, security arrangements at tunnel work sites in Ramban District

RAMBAN, JANUARY 06: Deputy Commissioner Ramban Mohammad Alyas Khan, along with SSP Arun Gupta, today inspected the tunnel work sites and other stretches along the NH-44 to review the progress of construction and assess security arrangements.

The review was conducted in the presence of Project Director NHAI, Shubham Yadav, Army and CRPF officers, representatives of executing agencies and concerned officers. The team inspected key locations, including tunnels and viaducts from Ramban to Ramsoo and took stock of the overall progress.

Interacting with officers and project authorities, the Deputy Commissioner directed them to accelerate the pace of work to ensure timely completion of this national project. He emphasized that public safety and uninterrupted execution of the project must remain top priorities. He also stressed strict adherence to safety norms, effective traffic regulation and timely coordination among all stakeholders.

Meanwhile, the SSP Ramban issued directions to strengthen inter-agency coordination and ensure strict adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the safety and security of manpower and the project. All concerned agencies were directed to remain vigilant and work in close coordination in the interest of public safety and the successful completion of the national project.
