The programme commenced with lighting of the traditional lamp by the guests.
The College Principal, District Social Welfare Officer, faculty members, doctors, paramedical staff and a large number of senior citizens participated in the initiative.

On the occasion, 100 tracksuits and 100 umbrellas were distributed among the senior citizens by the Chief guest and the Deputy Commissioner. A film show was also organised for the recreation of elderly participants, which was widely appreciated.
