SHOPIAN, MARCH 11: A three-day training programme organised by the District Surveillance Unit, Shopian under the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan concluded successfully here at Mini-Secretariat Shopian today.
The programme, conducted on the directions of the Director Health Services Kashmir, aimed at strengthening awareness and preventive strategies against substance abuse at the community level.
Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Shopian, Dr. Arshid Hussain Tak, who had inaugurated the training programme, reiterated the importance of coordinated and collective efforts to address the growing challenge of drug abuse. He stressed the need for active community participation to build a drug-free and healthy society.
During the training, resource persons including, DHO, Shopian, Dr. Shafqat Ahmed Khan, Dr. Rahil Hassan Khan and Quratul Ann delivered informative sessions on prevention, awareness and community engagement to effectively tackle substance abuse.
The programme witnessed participation from lecturers and teachers of various Higher and Secondary Schools as well as members of NRLM Self Help Groups, who actively engaged in the sessions and discussions.
The participants appreciated the initiative and expressed their commitment to spreading awareness and supporting the mission of creating a Nasha Mukt (drug-free) society.
