SAMBA, APRIL 02: The District administration Samba today busted a LPG black-marketing racket by recovering a huge hoard of domestic and commercial cylinders from Chang Manga.
On the directions of the Deputy Commissioner Samba Ayushi Sudan, a team comprising officers from the FCS&CA Department, Revenue Department, Legal Metrology Department and Police conducted a raid of a residential building after receiving specific inputs. The residential building was searched and a number of domestic and commercial Cylinders were recovered. The possession and storage of huge numbers raised serious concerns regarding possible misuse and violation of prescribed norms.
Taking cognizance of the matter, the team initiated legal action against the individual held on the spot. Further investigation is underway to ascertain the involvement of the Gas agency operating in the area.
The District Administration Samba reiterated its firm commitment to ensure transparency, fair pricing and uninterrupted supply of essential commodities to the public. The Deputy Commissioner emphasized that no violator shall be spared and stringent action will be taken against anyone found involved in black marketing, hoarding, or overcharging.
