PULWAMA, APRIL 24: District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) Pulwama, in collaboration with the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), CRPF Pulwama, and District Police Pulwama, today conducted a civil defence mock drill exercise at District Police Lines (DPL) Pulwama.

The exercise aimed to assess the level of preparedness, strengthen inter-departmental coordination, and ensure an effective and coordinated response mechanism during emergency situations.

The drill included simulation of various emergency and critical scenarios requiring a multi-agency response through coordinated efforts of all departments, along with volunteers and members of the public.

Personnel from CRPF, Jammu and Kashmir Police, Fire & Emergency Services, Health Department, SDRF, and Civil Defence units actively participated in the exercise. Key emergency protocols such as rescue operations, evacuation procedures, first aid response, and fire control measures were rehearsed under real-time conditions.

The drill was conducted under the observation of the Additional Deputy Commissioner Pulwama, who is also the CEO of the District Disaster Management Authority, along with senior officers of Police and Civil Administration.

On the occasion, the Additional Deputy Commissioner stated that the exercise formed part of routine mock drills conducted to strengthen preparedness, enhance coordination, and ensure prompt and effective response during emergency situations.
