KUPWARA, APRIL 24: District Administration Kupwara today conducted a comprehensive mock drill at District Police Lines (DPL) Kupwara to enhance preparedness and response capabilities during emergencies and unforeseen situations.
The exercise was organized to evaluate and strengthen rescue management mechanisms, ensuring swift and coordinated action in the face of untoward incidents. Various departments, including police, health services, fire and emergency services, and disaster management teams, actively participated in the drill.
The mock drill simulated real-life emergency scenarios, enabling responders to assess operational readiness, inter-agency coordination, and the effectiveness of existing contingency plans. Teams demonstrated evacuation procedures, first aid response, firefighting techniques, and rapid deployment strategies.
Officials present on the occasion emphasized the importance of such drills in identifying gaps and improving response efficiency. They noted that regular mock exercises play a crucial role in minimizing risks, saving lives, and ensuring public safety during crises.
Meanwhile, the ADC Kupwara, Gulzar Ahmad Khan present on the occasion said that the aim of holding the mock drill is to aware and alert various stakeholders for swift response during emergency period for public safety.
