BANDIPORA, APRIL 25: Department of Youth Services and Sports Bandipora today organized a large-scale Unity March under the ongoing Nasha Mukt Jammu and Kashmir Abhiyan, aimed at spreading awareness against substance abuse and promoting a drug-free society.
The march commenced from Mini Secretariat Bandipora and culminated at S.K. Stadium, witnessing enthusiastic participation from students, teachers, Rehbar-e-Khel (REKs), and officials from various departments. Participants marched carrying placards and banners highlighting the ill effects of drug abuse and the importance of collective responsibility in eradicating the menace.
On the occasion, a pledge was administered to the participants, wherein they resolved to actively contribute towards building a drug-free Bandipora and to spread awareness within their communities.
Among others, the march was joined by the Assistant Commissioner Development Bandipora, Assistant Commissioner Panchayat Bandipora, Assistant Regional Transport Officer Bandipora, Chief Medical Officer Bandipora and Padma Shri awardee, Faisal Ali Dar.
Addressing the gathering, the officers emphasized the need for sustained awareness campaigns and community participation to tackle substance abuse effectively.
The event concluded at S.K. Stadium with a renewed commitment from all stakeholders to continue efforts under the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan and ensure a healthier, safer future for the district.
