DC Poonch reviews cases of families affected by natural calamities in 2025

POONCH, APRIL 25: The Chairman District Disaster Management Authority (Deputy Commissioner) Poonch Ashok Kumar Sharma today chaired a meeting to review and vet the list of families affected and rendered landless due to the natural calamities that occurred during August/September 2025.

The meeting was attended by the Additional Deputy Commissioner Tahir Mustafa Malik; Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Muhammad Sayeed; Sub-Divisional Magistrate Mendhar, Imran Kataria; DySP Headquarters Neeraj Sharma; Tehsildar Mendhar, Headquarter Assistant to the Deputy Commissioner and Executive Engineers of PWD Poonch and Mendhar. The meeting examined the cases thoroughly. The Chairman directed the Sub-Divisional Committee Mendhar to carry out a fresh verification of all cases and re-submit the same along with proper recommendations for consideration in the next meeting.

The Deputy Commissioner emphasised the importance of ensuring accuracy and fairness in the verification process so that genuine affected families receive due assistance.
