JAMMU, APRIL 27: The District Administration Jammu today commenced a three-day training programme for Field Trainers (FTs) in connection with the forthcoming Census–2027 operations.
The training programme is being organized under the supervision of Additional Deputy Commissioner (District Census Officer) Vidhur Shekhar and the Additional District Census Officer Jammu (Master Trainer of the District -Neeraj Sharma) to strengthen preparedness for Phase-I: House Listing and Housing Census (HLO).
As many as 46 Field Trainers drawn from different departments are participating in the programme. These Field Trainers would further impart training to Supervisors and Enumerators at their respective charge levels to ensure the smooth and efficient conduct of census activities across the district.
The training sessions are being conducted by Resource Persons from Census Operations, including Nodal Officer (NO) Jatinder Kumar and District Coordinator Sunita, who are providing detailed guidance on the procedures and operational framework of Census–2027.
The participants are being sensitized about house listing procedures, Enumeration Block (EB) mapping, use of the census portal, and the roles and responsibilities of census functionaries.
During the sessions, emphasis is being laid on maintaining accuracy of data, adherence to prescribed guidelines, and timely completion of census activities. Interactive discussions are also being held to address queries of the participants regarding technical and field-level aspects of the census process.
The district administration Jammu reiterated its commitment to ensure the successful and smooth conduct of Census–2027, highlighting the crucial role of Field Trainers in building the capacity of enumerators and supervisors for this important national exercise.
