ADC Bhaderwah chairs awareness program on online Self Enumeration, Census 2027

BHADERWAH, MAY 18: An Awareness Camp to educate the public and government functionaries about the procedures of online self-enumeration for Census -2027 was held today at Dak Bunglow Bhaderwah. The programme witnessed the participation of officers and officials from the government departments, stakeholders and members of the public.

During the programme, the ADC (Divisional Census Officer) Bhaderwah Sunil Kumar Bhutyal highlighted the significance of self-enumeration in ensuring accurate, transparent and efficient census data collection. He informed that the Self-Enumeration Process commenced from 17 May 2026 and shall continue till 31 May 2026.

He urged the officers, field functionaries and citizens to work in coordination for maximum public participation and smooth conduct of the census exercise.

Experts and resource persons delivered detailed presentations regarding important procedures, operational guidelines, registration methods and digital census tools associated with the self-enumeration process. Demonstrations regarding online registration and submission of census details were also conducted to enhance public understanding and ensure hassle-free participation.

The ADC further directed the heads of GHSS boys and Girls besides heads of the departments to generate awareness regarding the Self -Enumeration process to educate the public and government functionaries about the importance and procedures of online self- enumeration.

The programme emphasized the importance of accurate census data for effective governance, developmental planning and implementation of welfare schemes.

The officers and officials of different government departments District Master Trainer, School heads, CDPO, Account Officer BDA, BMO, Naib Tehsildar, EO MCB, AE R&B, AE, PDD and LDO actively participated in the awareness drive and assured their full cooperation in spreading awareness among the masses regarding Census 2027 across Sub-District Bhaderwah.
