SRINAGAR, June 24: A week long Facilitator Training Programme for the Community Resource Persons for Enterprise Promotion (CRP-EP) concluded today at IMPARD, marking a significant step towards strengthening the grassroots entrepreneurship and sustainable livelihood generation across Jammu and Kashmir.

The programme was organized by the National Institute for Entrepreneurship and Small Business Development (NIESBUD) under the aegis of the Ministry of Rural Development–Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MoRD-MSDE) convergence framework. The initiative aims to promote entrepreneurship-led economic growth and support establishment of sustainable rural micro-enterprises across the Union Territory.

The intensive capacity-building programme was attended by members of the Jammu and Kashmir Rural Livelihoods Mission (JKRLM), who underwent comprehensive training sessions conducted by a team of experts from NIESBUD. The sessions focused on enterprise planning, financial management, business modelling, market linkages and mentorship strategies to enable the participants to effectively guide the aspiring rural entrepreneurs.

Speaking at the valedictory session, Mission Director JKRLM, Dr. Shubhra Sharma, emphasized the transformative role of entrepreneurship in improving the rural livelihoods and creating self-reliant communities.

“The training has equipped the participants with practical knowledge and entrepreneurial skills that will help them identify opportunities, nurture local enterprises and support livelihood generation at the grassroots level.

The real success of this programme will be reflected in the emergence of sustainable enterprises and empowered communities across Jammu and Kashmir,” she maintained.

Highlighting the importance of trained facilitators in the rural enterprise ecosystem, Dr. Sharma added, “Community Resource Persons are the backbone of enterprise promotion in rural areas. I urge all the participants to effectively utilize the knowledge gained during this programme and become catalysts for innovation, entrepreneurship and economic empowerment in their respective communities.”

The Mission Director appreciated the efforts of the NIESBUD resource team for delivering high-quality training and thanked all participants for their enthusiastic involvement and commitment throughout the programme.

She expressed confidence that the trained facilitators would play a pivotal role in accelerating the enterprise development, creating livelihood opportunities and contributing to the vision of inclusive and sustainable rural development in Jammu and Kashmir.

The programme concluded with a certificate distribution ceremony and a collective commitment by the participants to promote entrepreneurship and support rural enterprises across the Union Territory.
