BUDGAM, JUNE 30: Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Budgam, Vivek Agarwal, today chaired a review meeting to assess the progress of the Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) and Swachh Bharat Mission (Grameen) in the district.

During the meeting, a review of the implementation of Jal Jeevan Mission was conducted. Detailed deliberations were held on the status of ongoing water supply schemes, Functional Household Tap Connections (FHTCs), physical and financial progress, water quality monitoring, and other key components of the mission.

The progress achieved under the Comprehensive Implementation Reform Plan (CIRP) was also reviewed, with emphasis on accelerating the pace of execution and ensuring timely completion of all pending works.

The meeting also reviewed the implementation of Swachh Bharat Mission (Grameen), with focus on sanitation coverage, solid and liquid waste management, and other programme components. Stress was laid on strengthening implementation at the grassroots level to achieve the objectives of the mission in a time-bound manner.

The ADDC directed the concerned officers to ensure close monitoring of all ongoing works, maintain quality standards, address bottlenecks on priority, and enhance inter-departmental coordination for effective implementation of both flagship programmes.

He emphasized adherence to prescribed timelines and called for sustained efforts to ensure improved service delivery and achievement of the desired outcomes.

The meeting was attended by ACP, Executive Engineers of Jal Shakti Budgam and chadoora, other officers of the Jal Shakti Department, Rural Development Department and other concerned departments.
