SHOPIAN, SEPTEMBER 15: The District Level National Science Seminar-2026 was successfully conducted today, at the Auditorium Hall, DIET Shopian, on the theme “Indian Energy Basket–2047: Prospects and Challenges.”
The seminar was held under the guidance of Principal DIET Shopian, Neetu Gandootra, who formally inaugurated the programme and delivered the inaugural address.
13 students from four zones, selected through zonal-level competitions, participated in the three-stage competition comprising Written Aptitude Test, Seminar Presentation and Question-Answer Session, as per NSS-2026 guidelines.
The Jury Panel comprising Dr. Mohd Yousuf, Sr. Lecturer; Mohd. Amin Lecturer; Shabnum Afzal Lecturer, DIET Shopian conducted a comprehensive assessment.
Haseem Wani of NIPS Zainpora and Noor-ul-Hooda of GHSS Zainapora were selected to represent District Shopian at the forthcoming Division-Level Competition.
The programme witnessed the participation of DIET faculty, ZNOs and Escort Teachers.
Mementos and Certificates of Appreciation were presented to the selected students, while Certificates of Participation were awarded to all participants and Certificates of Appreciation to DNOs and ZNOs.
The programme concluded successfully with a powerful message that scientific curiosity today shapes a stronger and more sustainable India tomorrow.
