PULWAMA, SEPTEMBER 28: Central Prabhari Officer (CPO) for the Aspirational Blocks Programme, Bhupinder Kumar, today chaired a comprehensive review meeting to assess the progress of developmental initiatives and government schemes in Aspirational Block Achgoza, Pulwama, at the Circuit House, Pulwama.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Commissioner, Pulwama, Dr. Basharat Qayoom, SSP Pulwama, Sahil Sarangal, ADDC Pulwama, Gulzar Ahmad Bhat, ADC Pulwama, Mohd Ashraf Sheikh, ACD, CPO, CEO, CMO and other senior district and sectoral officers from Agriculture, Horticulture, Animal Husbandry, Health, Education, Social Development, Jal Shakti and other concerned departments.
A detailed presentation was made before the Chair on the developmental progress of the block, projects under implementation and various departmental interventions. The status of key indicators under the Aspirational Blocks Programme and Sampoornata Abhiyan 2.0 was also reviewed.
The departments of Agriculture, Health, Education, and PHE, among others, presented their progress and briefed the Chair about the schemes and initiatives being implemented in the block.
It was informed that several government schemes and developmental projects are already in progress. The Chair emphasised the need to identify and bridge the remaining gaps through effective convergence, coordinated efforts and timely implementation.
The meeting also discussed key demands and proposed developmental works for Achgoza, including a Public Library and Sports Complex, a building for the AYUSH Hospital, a Shopping Block for SHGs/MFP activities and a Meeting Hall at the BDO Office, Achgoza. The status of projects already under process was also presented before the Chair.
The Aspirational Blocks Programme, being implemented under the framework of NITI Aayog, aims to accelerate development in identified blocks through convergence of government schemes, improved service delivery and focused interventions across key sectors. The review also focused on ensuring that progress under various indicators translates into visible and measurable improvements in the quality of life of the people.
Emphasis was also laid on strengthening inter-departmental convergence and field-level monitoring, with officers asked to closely track the progress of ongoing interventions and address gaps affecting the achievement of identified indicators.
