SHOPIAN, OCTOBER 30: Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Shopian, Dr. Zakir Hussain Faaz, today presided over a meeting here at Mini-Secretariat Shopian to review and finalize the arrangements for the upcoming observance of Rashtriya Ekta Diwas and the much- anticipated Run for Unity being held on October 31, 2026.
Speaking on the occasion, the ADC underscored the immense national significance of Rashtriya Ekta Diwas, noting that the observance serves as a powerful reminder of our shared commitment to the nation’s unity, integrity and security. He stressed that seamless cross- departmental coordination is vital for making the event a grand success and ensuring participation of all employees, officers/officials of all departments.
The ADC directed officials for ensuring that all logistical, security, medical and transport arrangements are put in place with maximum efficiency. He urged every department to work in close coordination to guarantee enthusiastic public participation particularly from the youth transforming the Run for Unity into a memorable district-wide celebration.
The meeting concluded with a collective resolve to work together harmoniously to uphold and promote the enduring spirit of unity.
