RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat to visit valley: GSPF Chief Patron

Srinagar: Dr Anant Bhagwat, Chief Patron Global Strategic Policy Foundation, Pune (GSPF), Monday said that Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Chief Mohan Bhagwat will be visiting Kashmir Valley during the next few weeks.

“ Dr Mohan Bhagwat Ji will be visiting Kashmir for the first time where thousands of our ideologically devoted masses will participate in the event he will be chairing,” Dr Anant Bhagwat, said while briefing media at the GSPF office here.

He said that many people across Kashmir have been inclined towards the GSPF, which is an affiliate of the RSS and the people here want to be part of the peace and development process the organization is promoting here.

“People are taking a keen interest in developmental plans propagated by the RSS and its affiliate groups in Jammu and Kashmir and they also want to be part of the peace caravan,” Dr Anant said.

He said that after abrogation of Article 370 new opportunities were explored by the government and as such Kashmir valley is presently witnessing a boom in tourism activities.

“Peace is establishing its roots in Kashmir valley and as of now zero incidents of stone pelting have been reported during the past two years,” he said.

“Jammu and Kashmir is witnessing a corruption free administration and many departments including the all important Education Department are now almost corruption free and the transfer mafia has become irrelevant now,” he said.

He said that the attendance of employees in government offices has improved with 100% employees now reporting for duties as early as 9 am in the morning.

He said that the administration has helped in improving the infrastructure in the power sector and as a result the curtailment schedule witnessed a lot of improvement during the winters when power supply used to be scare across Kashmir.

“The improvement in power sector will help improve the curtailment plans further and the curtailments can be minimized to just one hour in the coming weeks and months,” Dr Anant added.

He said that terrorist are targeting soft targets only as the security forces have managed to curtail their presence and might across all the districts in Jammu and Kashmir.

He added that the CID department is a powerful institution now, and most of the inputs against the terrorists are being provided by the people here as people here have understood the futility of violence.
