Mumbai, Aug 25: Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) President Nana Patole on Friday said the statements made by NCP chief Sharad Pawar seem he has succeeded in changing party deserter Ajit Pawar’s mind and soon he will return to his party.
Pawar is a senior and experienced leader. Ajit Pawar must have wanted to return to the party after meeting him, he said.
Speaking to the media, Patole said there is no confusion among the Congress and Shiv Sena Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray’s party regarding Sharad Pawar.
Thackeray’s Shiv Sena and Congress are firmly standing behind Sharad Pawar.
Congress has made its stand clear, that it will fight against the BJP with the help of all those parties who come together.
Speaking on the survey that has predicted that MVA will get more seats in the Lok Sabha elections, he said the Congress has been saying for the last two years that it will emerge as the largest party in the upcoming elections. The surveys are also saying the same thing. People’s trust in Congress party is increasing, he said
People believed in Narendra Modi and elected him with a majority, but Modi himself destroyed the dreams he showed to the people. He made many promises to deposit Rs 15 lakh in everyone’s account, provide two crore jobs every year, double the income of farmers, implement the recommendations of the Swaminathan Commission, and bring black money from abroad, but he could not fulfill any of them, Patole charged.
The Modi government has failed the people’s expectations, so the people have a strong resentment towards the BJP and Narendra Modi.
The present state government in the state has also turned out to be a disappointment. Farmers are being looted, they are protesting against the drop in prices of farm produce, added Patole.
