Bandipora, September 14: The Bandipora Tennis Ball Cricket Association today concluded the District Tennisball Cricket Championship at SK Stadium Bandipore, which earlier commenced from September 13 to September 14.
The Event Witnessed an impressive turnout of approximately 42 teams, including both boys and girls from all age categories representing different schools and Clubs of district Bandipora.
At the end of the event, United 11 Marder, High school Qazipora and Ali’s Sports Academy came out to be the winners of Boys senior, Junior and Sub-Junior catagoties while as SSC Soudnara, NM boys Hr secondary school and middle school Lankreshipora were declared to be the runner-up of Boys Senior, Junior and Sub-Junior catagoties respectively.
In Girls competition, Majestic Sports Academy, Govt High school Nadihal and Majestic Sports Academy came on top an were the winners of the Seniors, Junior and Sub-Junior catagoties respectively while as Govt Hr secondary Plan bandipora and Govt Middle school Kaloosa were runner-up in Junior and Sub-Junior catagoties respectively. Many athletes in this event were selected for the upcoming UT level Tennis Ball Cricket trials 2023 which is scheduled later this year.
The Bandipora Tennis Ball Cricket Association is a recognized governing body dedicated to the promotion and development of Tennisball cricket in the region. Committed to nurturing young talent and fostering a culture of sportsmanship, the association organizes various events, championships, and training programs to propel the growth of Tennis ball cricket in district Bandipora.
The closing ceremony of the event was graced by the presence of esteemed guests and dignitaries. Chief Guest Of the event was Padmashree Awardee Shri Fasil Ali Dar brand ambassador Nasha Mukht Bharat Abhiyan. Accompanying him l. While addressing the participants, chief guest, emphasized the global popularity of Tennis ball Cricket as a sport. He expressed his delight at the decision to hold the championship in SK stadium, recognizing its potential to encourage youth participation in sports and steer them away from negative influences of drugs and other social evils.
