Kishtwar Police Successfully Solve the Mystery Behind the Zelna Case Burglary

Kishtwar, October 3:- Kishtwar Police have achieved a significant breakthrough in the investigation of the Zelna Case burglary, which occurred on the night of September 23rd and 24th, 2023.

A complaint was filed at PS Kishtwar, detailing a disturbing incident where masked individuals forcibly entered a residence armed with rods, leading to the registration of Case FIR No. 226/2023 U/Sec. 3/25 I. A Act, 395/458/323/34/IPC at PS Kishtwar.

Thereafter, SSP Kishtwar, Sh. Khalil Poswal-JKPS, formed a Special Investigation Team (SIT) headed by Dy. SP Hqrs Kishtwar, Dr. Ishan Gupta, and Insp Parvaiz Ahmed Khanday, SHO PS Kishtwar, Psi Kanwar Rishiv under the supervision of IC Addl. SP Kishtwar. The dedicated team of investigators worked tirelessly to uncover the details of this incident.

During the course of the investigation, the SIT apprehended several suspects and eventually succeeded in arresting the thieves involved in the burglary case, leading to the recovery of stolen items.

The arrested individual has been identified as Akshay Kumar S/o Raj Kumar R/o Sangrambata Kishtwar, who, under custody of SIT, disclosed his involvement.

Additionally, crucial information was divulged, leading to the identification of other accomplices involved in this heinous crime.

SSP Kishtwar stated that the SIT promptly arrested the other burglars who had initially escaped.

SSP Kishtwar, Mr. Poswal-JKPS, further emphasizes that the entire town is under CCTV coverage, with 24×7 monitoring by a specialized team at the CCTV surveillance unit of Kishtwar Police. This gang of thieves was also apprehended with the assistance of CCTV footage from in and around Kishtwar town.
