KISHTWAR,18 Oct: With an aim to redress the grievances of people at their door step, Block Diwas programmes were today held in two Sub Divisions of District Kishtwar on the direction of District Development Commissioner Kishtwar Dr Devansh Yadav IAS.
At first instance the block diwas programme held at Pallali in Sub Division Paddar today witnessed a proactive engagement led by SDM Paddar,Arun Kumar Badyal-JKAS.
Presiding over the Public Grievance Redressal Camp, Mr. Arun Badyal attentively addressed the concerns of the public, swiftly resolving a majority of them in consultation with relevant officers and field functionaries from various departments.
In attendance were prominent figures, including DDC Councilor Paddar,Hari Krishan Chauhan,Tehsildar Satish Rana, SDPO Paddar,Prehlad Sharma, SDAO Paddar, SHO Vikram Parihar, and field functionaries representing RDD and other line departments.
The residents of the Panchayat and neighboring areas actively participated, emphasizing their grievances.
One notable concern raised was the state of Palali Road, to which SDM Badyal assured the community that the matter would be expeditiously brought to the attention of the R&B Department, with work commencing soon after completing all necessary formalities.
Other issues, such as staff shortages in schools, providing 100 days work under MGNREGA, and challenges related to hassle free extension of Social Security Schemes (ISSS) of the Social Welfare department to the beneficiaries of area, were also discussed.
SDM Paddar committed to timely resolutions, passing necessary directives to concerned officers during the event besides assured that the issues will be forwarded to concerned for prompt redressal.
All the officers and employees were directed to remain punctual and work with dedication and sincerity in Sub Division Paddar.
On the occasion, SDM Paddar issued directives to the Agriculture Officer, emphasizing the need for more comprehensive awareness programs in agriculture and allied sectors to benefit local farmers.
The camp also featured awareness sessions conducted by field functionaries on various beneficiary schemes. Police authorities seized the opportunity to address students and the community on the pressing issue of the drug menace, urging cooperation for a comprehensive crackdown on drug menace for betterment of Youth
Similarly, in a proactive move towards citizen-centric governance, the Block Diwas programme was also conducted at HS Gouri-nallah Sub Division, Chatroo, under the able leadership of SDM Chatroo,Shokat Hayat Matoo-JKAS.
The event witnessed the participation of key officials, including Tehsildar Suman Sharma, BDO Tasleem Wani, DySP Sajjad Khan, and local Panchayati Raj Institutions (PRIs),officers and officials of various departments besides locals.
SDM Chatroo Shokat Hayat Matoo, actively engaged with the community, attentively addressing a spectrum of issues pertaining to the local infrastructure and the enhancement of public service delivery mechanisms in the region.
During the session, SDM Chatroo demonstrated a commitment to swift governance by promptly resolving a significant number of grievances on the spot. He further issued pertinent directives to the concerned officers and officials from various line departments.
In his address, SDM Chatroo emphasized the Block Diwas programme’s core objective to provide effective redressal of public grievances at their doorstep.
He urged all officers and field functionaries present to exhibit dedication in addressing people’s concerns promptly, aligning with the principles of good governance.
The Block Diwas initiative stands as a testament to the administration’s commitment to fostering a responsive and accountable governance model, ensuring that the concerns of the people are not only heard but promptly acted upon.
