Srinagar, Feb 29 : In a gesture of relief for stranded passengers from Ladakh in New Delhi, the Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council (LAHDC) Leh, in collaboration with the Contractors Association and Overland Escape Ladakh, has announced special airfare concessions for flights to Leh from Delhi on February 29th.
As per the news agency—, passengers traveling from Delhi to Leh will benefit from discounted airfare, priced at Rs 11,500 per person for the special flights on the designated date. Priority will be accorded to elderly individuals, patients, and their accompanying relatives, ensuring their swift and comfortable return to Ladakh.
Chairman of LAHDC Leh and CEC Leh, Tashi Gyalson, lauded this initiative, emphasizing its significance in providing much-needed relief to stranded passengers, particularly those requiring urgent medical attention, senior citizens, and pilgrims.
He expressed gratitude to Sansad Jamyang Tsering Namgyal, President of the Contractor Association, Tonio Leigh, and Managing Director of Overland Escape Ladakh, T Dorje, for their collaborative efforts in facilitating this service
