Managing Director JKMSCL inspects Drug Warehouse Nagrota; Asks for inventory management

JAMMU, MARCH 06: Managing Director J&K Medical Supplies Corporation Ltd, Kapil Sharma today visited Regional Drug Warehouse, Nagrota. He interacted with the Officers and Officials of Drug Warehouses and instructed them to work  in a mission mode to ensure the seamless and timely supplies to the Health Care Institutions.

He discussed various pressing issues pertaining to Drug Warehouses catering to Director Health Services, Jammu and Govt. Medical College, Jammu and issued on spot directions for timely resolution of the same.

The Managing Director went around the premises and surrounding areas of the Drug Warehouses and assessed the availability of the space. He issued directions to the General Manager, for finding an additional suitable space for warehouse keeping in view the requirements and forecasting of the demand from the intending institutions.

The Managing Director discussed the challenges faced by the Drug Warehouses and on spot directions in the matter were issued. Managing Director also impressed upon the concerned Officers for conducting the Fire Safety Audit and ensuring compliance’s in respect of storage practices and procedures.

He stressed proper segregation of quarantine and expired drugs besides ensuring maintenance of the cold chain. The Medical Officers were instructed to ensure that the quality drugs & instruments are stocked and further impressed upon them to maintain close liaison with the end user departments. He focused on inventory management and asked the concerned to monitor the movement of drugs and machinery on a regular basis. General Manager, Medical Officers and other officials were also present during the visit.
