NC espouses Kashmiri Migrants’ cause, BJP only exploited them: Rattan Lal Gupta

JAMMU, March 29: The Provincial President JKNC Jammu Rattan Lal Gupta Adv and Jammu and Kashmir National Conference’s Minority Cell leaders warmly welcomed the new entrant Mrs Shriya Handoo grand daughter of Late Shri P.L Handoo former minister and greeted her at Sher-e-Kashmir Bhavan,Jammu today.Mr Rattan Lal Gupta Provincial President Jammu Province welcomed Shriya Handoo in National Conference.

While addressing on this occasion Rattan Lal Gupta said that National Conference has always stood for the cause of Kashmiri Migrants and shall continue the same for all times to come while Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has only exploited them to the hilt by making hollow promises. He said that the BJP Govt had made promises to rehabilitate the KP migrants in the Valley but these proved to be a cruel joke as no steps were taken in this direction since 2014. He dared the BJP Govt to reveal what steps have been taken by it for employment of KP unemployed youth including those who are now barred due to their being over aged.

The Provincial President asserted that the issues confronting the displaced Kashmiri Pandits need to be addressed on priority. He exhorted the central government to chalk out a time bound road map for their safe, honorable and dignified return.

Rattan Lal asked the Govt at the Centre to provide appropriate one time settlement compensation to the over aged Kashmiri Pandit youth.

Bushan Lal Bhat former MLC reiterated that the National Conference has always stood for the cause of Kashmiri migrants and shall continue its fight for their cause for ever.

On this occasion Mrs Bimla Luthra former MLA and State Vice President women wing urged the people to support the National Conference, as they believe it is the only party that can fulfill the aspirations of the people of Jammu and Kashmir for a brighter future.

On this occasion Shriya Handoo pledged to carry forward the mission of National Conference in transforming Jammu and Kashmir into a peaceful and progressive state with devotion and dedication.

Those who were present on this occasion included, Pardeep Bali Provincial Secretary Jammu, Vijay Lochan Chairman SC Cell, Rakesh Singh Raka Vice President Central Zone,  Amit Koul, Ashok Bhan, Jatin Bhat, Sunita Bhan, Surinder Bhan, Malla Ji, Veer Ji,  S. Tejinder Singh, Som Raj Taroch, Jatinder Kumar , Ajay Kumar and others.
