\]The Jammu & Kashmir (J&K) team proudly representing J&K UT at the 51st Senior National Carrom Championship,this prestigious
event is scheduled to take place from today April 7th to April 10th, 2024, at the Lakshmibai National Institute of Physical Education (LNIPE) in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh.
The Championship is Organized by the All India Carrom Federation in collaboration with the MP State Carrom Association and the Jila Gwalior Carrom Association,
The J&K team comprising Shahid Ahmad, Haroon Malik, Arsalan Akbar and Furqan, the team has diligently prepared to showcase their talent and compete among the nation’s finest carrom players. Their participation not only highlights their dedication to the sport but also serves as a testament to the growing enthusiasm for carrom in the Jammu & Kashmir UT.
As representatives of Jammu & Kashmir, they carry the hopes and support of Jammu & Kashmir Carrom Association who eagerly await their performance on the national stage.The entire Carrom Players and officials of the J&K Carrom Association extends its best wishes to the team, urging them to play with determination, grace, and integrity. Regardless of the outcome, their presence at the championship symbolizes the unity and strength of J&K’s sporting fraternity.
Further, Jammu & Kashmir Carrom Association requests all the Schools, Colleges and institutions of the Jammu and Kashmir to include game of Carrom in the sports of their respective institutions for the welfare and benefit of the players.
The collective effort of the schools, Colleges, institutions and the district units is crucial in grooming players for upcoming district, UT and National level carrom championships. Through systematic training and encouragement, J&K Carrom Association aims to present its best athletes at the national level.
