Celebration of Int’l Nurses Day commences across Ramban

RAMBAN, MAY 11: Celebration of International Nurses Day 2024 commenced today in district Ramban on the theme “Our Nurses Our Future, the Economic Power of Care”.

Various entertaining and informative events dedicated to the birth anniversary of Florence Nightingale, were held at District Hospital Ramban, DISHA Institute of Paramedical & Nursing Sciences and other healthcare centres to highlight and honour the invaluable contributions of nurses to the healthcare system worldwide.

At DISHA Institute of Paramedical & Nursing Sciences, the Hosts and students welcomed esteemed guests and dignitaries, especially chief guest of the programme, Medical Superintendent District Hospital, Dr. Varinder Trisal.
The Medical Superintendent emphasized the indispensable role nurses play in the healthcare sector, acknowledging their dedication, compassion and tireless efforts in providing quality patient care.

He commended the faculty and staff of DISHA Institute for organizing such meaningful events that recognize and appreciate the noble profession of nursing.
A number of students spoke on the importance of nurses’ day and presented culture programmes, skits and participated in poster making competitions.

Later, Principal of DISHA Institute Hilal Wani extended gratitude to the guests for their valuable presence and support. He reiterated the institute’s commitment to nurturing future generations of compassionate and skilled nurses who uphold the highest standards of patient care.
