ANANTNAG, JUNE 10: As part of an ongoing initiative, the Drug Control Department (DCD) Anantnag today conducted inspections across various retail establishments here.
During the drive, the teams visited the Achabal area, Shirpora and surrounding areas. The inspections primarily focused on verifying the installation of CCTV cameras and Computerized Billing System and it was observed that all the inspected firms have installed CCTV cameras and adopted computerized billing systems.
The teams additionally underscored the significance of monitoring CCTV footage to verify that the cameras effectively serve their intended function of deterring improper practices. More than 20 drug samples were also lifted for analysis purposes from the Jan Aushadi Kendra GMC Anantnag.
The Department will remain committed and will conduct regular inspections throughout Anantnag district.
The implementation of these measures will foster transparency in transactions, strengthen inventory management and promote overall accountability within the district’s pharmaceutical sector.
