SAMBA, JULY 15: Deputy Commissioner Samba, Abhishek Sharma, today chaired a preparatory meeting to review the arrangements for the 77th Independence Day celebration in the district.
The meeting saw the presence of senior officials including SSP Samba, Vinay Sharma; ADDC, Champa Devi; ADC, Suresh Sharma; ACD, Mehmood Riaz; DMO, Mohammad Sayeed; ACP, CMO, Executive Engineer PHE, Executive Engineer R&B, Executive Engineer I&FC, CEO, and other district officers.
DC instructed the concerned officers to ensure maximum participation from schools, NCC cadres, police, band parties, Sainik Welfare, and other teams for the parade on the occasion of Independence Day.
He further directed the officials to ensure proper sanitation and cleanliness of all government offices, the establishment of a control room at the DC office, the illumination of prominent places, and traffic management at the venue. He emphasized the importance of proper decoration and seating arrangements at the event spot to ensure a grand celebration of the 77th year of Independence.
In addition, DC directed the officers to invite all civil societies, former Panchayati Raj Institution members, ex-councillors, and religious organizations for the event scheduled to be held at Rani Suchet Singh Stadium, Samba.
He also reviewed and gave instructions for making arrangements for the “At Home Celebration” of Independence Day in the evening.
The meeting concluded with DC Sharma urging all officials to work diligently and collaboratively to ensure the success of the upcoming Independence Day celebrations.
