DLSC approves 36 cases under Credit Card Scheme for Artisans and Weavers in Reasi

REASI, JULY 19: The District Level Selection Committee for implementation of Credit Card scheme for artisans & weavers in Handicrafts & Handloom sector today under the chairmanship of General Manager DIC Reasi Mohammad Anwar Banday, approved 36 cases under CCS scheme held in the Office of GM DIC Reasi.

The agenda of the meeting was presented by Assistant Director Handloom & Handicrafts Reasi Ujwal Singh Sambyal.

The meeting was attended by Assistant Director Employment Reasi, Rekha Bali, LDM SBI Reasi G. M. Wani, and District Officer KVIB Reasi, Narayan Dass, Jyoti Parkash AHTO Reasi & representative of Assistant Labour Commissioner Reasi

The cases were approved for the benefit of artisans and weavers of the district. The scheme will provide financial assistance to the beneficiaries and help them in enhancing their craft and improving their livelihood.

Speaking on the occasion, the GM DIC highlighted the importance of such schemes in promoting the handicrafts and handloom industry in the region.

The meeting was a step towards the Government’s commitment to uplift the artisans and weavers of the region and provide them with the necessary support to showcase their skills and contribute to the growth of the economy.
