DODA, AUGUST 06: Chairman District Development Council (DDC) Doda, Dhananter Singh Kotwal along with DDC Vice Chairperson, Sangeeta Bhagat inaugurated Girls’ Hostel at Nai Dangri educational zone Doda under Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya Scheme (KGBV).
The inauguration ceremony saw the presence of Chief Education Officer, Parkash Lal Thapa and Zonal Education Officer, Rahmatullah Dev.
The newly inaugurated hostel aims to provide a safe and supportive environment for girls, ensuring their academic and personal growth. The event highlighted the importance of girls’ education in driving social change and empowering communities.
It was informed that newly constructed hostel can accommodate 100 girls at a time and has state of art facilities and amenities, 24/7 security and supervision, nutritious meals etc.
While speaking on the occasion, the DDC Chairman said that education is the key to unlocking the potential of our girls. This hostel will be a beacon of hope and opportunity for them.
