SRINAGAR: Union External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar has written back to Nasir Khuehami, National Convenor of the J&K Students Association, expressing his gratitude for recognizing the Government of India’s efforts in repatriating 3,500 Kashmiri students from violence-hit Bangladesh. Dr. Jaishankar appreciated the acknowledgment of the Ministry’s work.
In his letter, Dr. Jaishankar informed Khuehami that the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), along with the High Commissioner in Dhaka and other Indian diplomatic missions in Bangladesh, worked diligently and in close coordination with local authorities to ensure the safe and secure return of all stranded Indian students, including those from Kashmir.
He further wrote that the well-being of the Indian diaspora, including Kashmiri students, is a top priority for the Government of India. The government remains committed to extending all possible assistance to its nationals, wherever they may be.
