“The Institute maintains and constantly improves its distinctiveness as a premier multidisciplinary development institution through cross-cutting approaches of awareness, training, consultancy and investment in entrepreneurship education and research,” it reads.
As per the latest figures, the number of Entrepreneurship Training Programs (EDPs) conducted by the institute from 2004 to 2021 were 1033 and number of participants were 37002 including 103 (under Himayat till 30-3-2021).
Further, the number of Entrepreneurship Orientation Programs (EOPs) was 267 and participants were 1134.
“In line with its mandate, the institute strives to develop entrepreneurship and entrepreneurial culture through entrepreneurship education, skill upgradation, knowledge dissemination, consultancy services and developing linkages with national and international organisations to make entrepreneurship the mainstay of the economy here.” it reads.
Pertinently, the Institute has its presence in all the 22 districts of the J&K besides having two District Centres in Leh and Kargil and two separate Centre for Women one each in Srinagar and Jammu.
