SAMBA, SEPTEMBER 30: A crucial joint review meeting was chaired by District Election Officer (DEO) Samba, Rajesh Sharma, and Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Samba, Vinay Sharma, with all Zonal Magistrates and Zonal Police Officers. The meeting, held today, was aimed at ensuring the smooth and peaceful conduct of polling across the entire district.
During the meeting, DEO, Rajesh Sharma emphasized the critical role of Zonal Magistrates in ensuring adherence to election laws and maintaining the integrity of the electoral process.
He directed the officers to coordinate closely with the police authorities to address any challenges that may arise during the polling period.
He also stressed the importance of maintaining a voter-friendly environment at all polling stations and ensuring all electoral materials and EVMs are securely managed.
SSP Vinay Sharma provided a detailed briefing on the security arrangements being put in place to prevent any untoward incidents and to maintain law and order throughout the election process.
Both officers called for seamless collaboration between civil and police authorities to ensure the election process is carried out peacefully and smoothly across all constituencies.
