The decorated booths, fundamental to the entire election process, play a significant role in making the festival of democracy a success, he added. He said that these innovative polling stations, such as women-managed, youth-managed, Green Polling Stations, Model Polling Stations, Border and Unique Polling Stations, were designed to cater specifically to women, youth, Persons with Disabilities (PwDs), promote eco-friendly practices, ensure inclusive and accessible election and accommodate the voters of different kinds in the region.

“During all the three phases of Jammu and Kashmir Assembly Election, a total of 504 special polling stations had been established”, added the CEO.

Furthermore, the ECI’s commitment towards environmental sustainability has been showcased through the implementation of green practices at these polling stations. Every aspect is meticulously designed to minimize environmental impact and promote a greener future.
