Srinagar, Oct 08 : As vote counting for the Assembly Elections concludes, the party workers from the National Conference (NC) and Indian National Congress (INC) took to the streets Tuesday, chanting “Zyuon Ho Zyuon Zyuon Ho (We Won We Won)”.

With NCs victory in 42 seats and its alliance partner INC with six seats, the roads of Srinagar reverberated with Zyuon Ho Zyuon Zyuon Ho slogans.

According to the news agency, the workers from both the parties gathered outside the SKICC to celebrate the election results.

NC worker, Ajaz Ahmad said, “This is a decision and victory of the people of Kashmir.” He said the voters have shown faith in NC and rejected the policies of the past five years.

Another NC worker, Mudasir Khan, said, “People of Kashmir have been living in open jails for more than five years. Now, they will have their own representatives to address their issues.”

‘Zyuon Ho Zyuon Zyuon Ho’ trend started here in Kashmir during the assembly election campaign when PDP leader Iltija Mufti mistakenly chanted ‘Zoon Ho Zoon Ho’

The ‘Zyuon Ho Zyuon Zyuon Ho’ didn’t remain confined to political workers only but to the common people too.

As the announcement of results was made, the netizens took to social media to mock their opposite fans of political parties who couldn’t win in the elections.

One of the netizens posted, “Elections are temporary, “Zoon ho Zoon ho” is permanent.”

Another netizen posted, “PDP decay started the day when it joined hands with BJP, subjugating the people’s mandate. The only reason for PDP to stay relevant among people in this election was “zoon ho zoon ho”!!!.”

In the meantime, NC on its micro blogging platform X also posted, ‘Zyoon hov, Zyoon hov, Albaeni Zyoon hov!’
